Question 1 and 2

1. As a student beginning to take the color theory course, I hope to learn a number of things. I hope to learn more about the role that color has in the retail industry and be able to develop more visual ideas. I am also anxious to learn more about the digital and scanning processes throughout the course. I hope to be more precise in the development and final product aspects, such as with cutting, gluing, and painting.

2. The image on the header of my syllabus is four silkscreen photos of Goethe by Andy Warhol. Within in the color wheel and the photos, it looks as though Warhol was trying to use the primary colors of blue, yellow, and red, to color and show the significance between Goethe and his impact on the color wheel. Goethe had such an important role in the arrangement of the color wheel today, that it would only seem appropriate to have the color wheel in the center of his silk screened photos; in which still personify who he is and what he helped with. Andy Warhol has done many other portraits of famous people such as Elvis and Marilyn Monroe, so to have him do these silk screens of Goethe, really says a lot about what he has done to and for color in general.
